MFM Program

Our 35th season opener celebrates all things MADE FOR MILWAUKEE – the people, the places, the food – and the exciting and imaginative music premiered right here in our city by Present Music. Join us to revisit works that made local and national history by Michael Torke, Kamran Ince, Jerome Kitzke and Sean Friar, then witness the world premiere of Ryan Carter’s On a better filtering algorithm. Present Music is just getting started. Hang on for this beautiful and mind-blowing ride!

Before the Concert:

  • Experience Present Music’s 35-year history in Milwaukee through pictures, music, and maps
  • Try your hand at musical experiments with the staff of the Betty Brinn’s Be A Maker Space
  • Find your inner DJ with composer Ryan Carter’s interactive iPhone app, iMonkeypants
  • Grab a bite to eat outside from local food trucks, including Meat on the Street

* Doors open at 6:30pm for pre-concert events

After the Concert:

  • Stick around to party with Milwaukee’s own glam-rock superstars, TIGERNITE
  • Enter to win a certificate for a Blacksmith 101 Workshop from the Milwaukee Blacksmith
